I’m a founder, product builder, software engineer, and strategy consultant.

I started my career as a software engineer at Samsung, then founded Violet, a short-form video startup, and led the company through its acquisition by LINE. I later joined McKinsey, where I advised companies on strategy and digital and AI transformation. Along the way, I’ve built and scaled consumer products and brought AI technologies into real-world products.

I studied Computer Science at Seoul National University and am now in Columbia’s MBAxMS program in New York, exploring what to build next.

  1. A landing page showing the service recommending jobs over chat messages

AI Job Search, Built for Older Adults

    In progress

Instead of asking older adults to learn a new app, I designed the entire job search experience around text messaging. AI turns conversations about their experience and preferences into a resume, sends personalized job recommendations each week, and handles applications with a simple reply

  2. A grid of six generated consulting slides — bar charts, indexed trend lines and icon rows

    AI McKinsey-Style Deck Generator

    2026

Turns an executive summary into a consulting deck, handling everything from storylining and dot-dash structure to the final PPTX. Then it reviews its own work against reference decks and rewrites its rules for the next run — basically learning to become a better consultant every time

  3. A grid of green character plush toys, bags and drinkware

    Gen AI Design Automation

    2023

Turned a manual 2D-to-3D merchandising design process into a controlled Gen AI workflow, using structure-conditioned image generation to preserve character identity and product specifications while cutting development time by over 85%

  4. A generated magazine layout — a skyline shot, an orange block of copy, and layout options below

    AI-Powered Video Magazine App

    2018

Developed in-house AI models for video analysis and editing, then turned the technology into a consumer app that automatically transformed users’ raw videos into polished, magazine-style content. The product earned Korea’s Best AI Startup Award

  5. A news clip playing full screen in the Elevn feed, with share, like and clip length beside it

    Elevn — 11-Second Short-Form Video

    2016

Before TikTok became the norm, I made an early bet on short-form video. With data showing short attention spans and a belief that social was shifting to video, I built Elevn around 11-second videos and a swipe-first UI that made content feel fast and dynamic. It grew to 500K+ users and earned Apple’s App of the Day
